This week (4th to 10th May 2014) is Hedgehog Awareness Week. This is a yearly event organised by the British Hedgehog Preservation Society, aiming to highlight the problems hedgehogs face and how you can help them. The focus this year is on gardeners and what they can do to help arrest the decline of hedgehogs, such as stopping or reducing the amount of pesticides and poisons used and ensuring there is an easy route out of ponds and pools.
