The UK RepNet Project was launched last month at the Open Repositories 2012 Conference (Edinburgh, Jul 9-13th). A RepNet Workshop was held on Jul 10th to showcase the Project Wave 1 components being developed by RepNet partners at MIMAS, EDINA and CRC Nottingham, as well as to brainstorm new features to be selected for Wave 2.

A series of presentations were scheduled for the 1st half of the WS, including RepNet project itself, the Repository Junction Broker RJB/ORI deposit feature, SHERPA RoMEO and JULIET, IRUS-UK and the UKOLN-lead RepNet Innovation Zone.

The presentations were followed by a three-strand parallel roundtable discussion on deposit, policies and reporting tools -see report– to examine what additional functionalities could be brought out of the service integration process and the subsequent gap analysis.
